I don’t think 💭 there will ever be anything that will beat technology, especially when we are considering what schools would have been like without smartphones in this present era . The smartphones that has become the savior for most people for the purpose of communication, engaging in and other online dealings that students needs to make things easier for them.

Imagine what school would look like if phones never existed.:

I don’t even want to think about this ever been a reality because it would have been one big problem. How would students have coped with all the research they need to do online since we are not in the era when library 📚 is the only way out, and students most times have to leave school 🏫 environment to go to a long distance
for researches.

Although, considering that there was no smartphone many decades ago, precisely during the era of our forefathers and they still did went to school 🏫. Why then should it be a problem in this present era if there should be no phones for students. I feel that times has made things to evolve , because it appears that the 21st century generation was born with a “Silver Spoon 🥄 “. An era where change became so constant and made life so simple for the Gen X, The Millennial and The Genzy . Hahaha 😀.

One thing I have always said when issues are raised on Technology , Innovation and Artificial Intelligence is that am so happy 😀 and will always be happy for being born and being part of this present generation, where technology came and made everything simple. The question I have continued to ask is , how did our forefathers did it? Even apart from schooling for those who went to school. How did they managed with life in their times without telephones 📞 or smartphones 📱.

Schools Without Phones:

First and foremost, just like we don’t know how our forefathers managed during their time while schooling, this present time students will be facing the trouble of still going to the library to read and make research on topics they don’t understand during lectures since they don’t have smartphones that can easily help with online browsing for a subject and topics. And not just visiting the library, because some research can also be very tough. But with Artificial Intelligence tools now, its on the tip of our fingers.

Secondly, many of the students who wants to avoid going to the library with extra time for research and reading, we always want to attend lectures and will mot miss classes , as this will help them to get a full note on any topic discussed in class. Unlike in this present time that a student will just browse the topic discussed if he or she missed class due to over not waking up early to meet class because of late night social media engagement 😀.

Have you seen students who can not understand topics when lectures are going on in class, but when they take out time to read on their own, everything becomes very clear to them. This is what most students still face today. But because of smartphone, they can easily take out time to browse and read on their own. This is one thing that will affect many students if phones never existed. Class lectures sometimes does not settle in many students head depending on the system the lecturer is using and many avoid asking questions.

In conclusion, not having a phone as a student in this present time can be frustrating and I know this is what many students in the past faced. Some might need to reach out to family for emergencies but can not. This can also force them to start leaving school for home , when they just supposed to call . My children started using phone at a tender age while going to school because it helped me to monitor them to know when they are in school and when they are leaving school. I will also always call them to make sure they got home safely. So phones are not just for distractions, but for many good advantages. My daughter who is building games today started using phones at the age of 12 years after several online courses.

So what can phones not do for us if we are not just social media addicts.
