What a topic from #hiveleaners community commencing the first featured content for this week. A very interesting topic that has made most humans become inhumane. “Power Abuse”. Misusing power or authority when you are in a position to use it better and properly as it should be.

The problem with man is the conscience we lack once we find ourselves in a position we never expected to be, because even those who did sworn the Oath Of Office ends up abusing power once they get into that seat or position where they are called to serve. Should I say power intoxicates or is it an overtime build of how people feel and see themselves as they take charge constantly towards things around them?

And in this very topic, am not going to be discussing here about the power tussle we are facing in the government, in the area of politics nor the everyday power abuse we see in the office environment. These are areas are already sickening with the way humans keep operating towards one another.

But I will want to call your attention to the least expected area you don’t know that humans are power abusive. This area is called “Marriage “. A reunion of man 👨 and woman 👩🏻 who whom God has joined together to leave as husband and wife. And they are joined in holy matrimony either traditionally wedded, in court wedding or in church wedding. Proclaiming for better for worse.

And then, many years after, its all kinds of troubles and some sticking stories because of lack of understanding or lost of conscience. This story is coming directly from my extended family. A cousin of my was involved in this story. She got married many years ago now and have had two pretty girls in her marriage. But suddenly, sometimes last year, the husband became so abusive.

First, the trouble started with my cousin not having a male child for him. He went on to start beating her without us knowing because my cousin was trying to protect her marriage. But who does this? Once a man starts beating his wife in any circumstances, he has definitely lost his head not even his conscience.

Secondly, he stopped my cousin from working, saying she does not have enough time for the family. This is a graduate that has a very good job and she is not nursing a baby because her second daughter is about 7 (seven ) years now. We attributed this to jealousy, but it was not because before my cousin knew what was going on, another lady was pregnant 🤰 for her husband. Who is fooling who here?

To cut the story short, as the beating issue got to us the family, we quickly called a kindred meeting and resolved to first rescue our daughter who is my cousin before going into any case settlement with our so called in-laws family. We quickly went with force before the story of beating turns into death 💀 , may God for bid.

Many of the married women are going through this kind of abuse and being silent about such without letting it out because they want to stay in their marriages. And the men with such a heart 👿are feeling in control. This is power abuse and one that is stinking. I feel those who do this has lost their mind and conscience. You can not live a life of wife beating and be feeling “Am In Control “ Its shameful.
