This little fella is loaded down with sacks of pollen from busily gathering around my gardens. I love having so many varieties of bees that visit my yard every summer. I do my best to capture them enjoying the different flowers.
The sun has risen early in the morning and this bumble is just starting to gather pollen from this Peony blossom.
The Zinnia garden is always full of bees and butterflies vying for the nectar. I was busy cutting back some of the early spring Columbine plants when this fella showed up. I always try to keep my iPhone in my back pocket to capture the little visitors.
Another one is busy on the flower next to the one above. I will sometimes gently stroke them on their backs when I find them sunning on the flowers early in the morning. It is so cute when they raise one of their legs to ask me not to pet them, lol.
Look at the size of this bumblebee enjoying all the pollen from the blue Delphinium. If you have any flower gardens in your yard do you take photos of the bees too?
A wonderful plant that can stand the colder days and nights in Fall is any type of Salvia. The bees love these plants and I make sure to have plenty of them throughout the garden-scape.
As always, I make sure to plant some Sunflowers for the bees to carry them through the fall season.
Well, my puppy is now asking for my attention for her morning playtime so this ends today's post. Happy gardening to all my friends
Until next time, this is Sunscape
