It may seem a bit early, but this woman does not like to decorate the outside of the house in freezing cold weather. Thus, out with the Zinnias and the pumpkins are being enjoyed by the squirrels and deer.

I started by decorating the front porch one afternoon on our last sunny day before the rain started again.

The following morning the temperature was starting to drop, and the sky was dark with the approaching rain. I pulled out the bin of outdoor lights and started putting them on the small Globe Arborvitaes. Plus, the little candy cane striped solar lights.

This is half of my old artificial tree before I purchased the white flocked one. I use it now to fill in the void at the front of the house. We had to remove two shrubs that were dying, and I can't decide what to plant in those spaces. I put the 3' tall candy canes along the edge of the garden for some extra fun.

At least I have the outside done and believe it or not, it is snowing right now. So far, the ground is covered, and we are expecting 3-5" of snow by tomorrow. I got it done just in time, lol.

Tomorrow I will post how I've decorated my family room this year. Of course, once I started decorating, I just had to start putting my tree up! Stay warm and safe with the coming weather everyone.
