Ina Garten aka Ina in a Garden, or Barefoot Contessa, use to watch her quite a bit after discovering the food network, FN saved my son's teenage years from my cooking. Emeril was my all time favorite though, learned a great deal from him, especially when it came to paste. Now I actually have sauce that sticks to the paste instead of running off like soup...so many "little" valuable tips. The fried chicken in the microwave after cooking put fried chicken back into the menu, no more bloody middle or to dry chicken. Alton Brown of Good Eats also had the greatest recipes for oven fried chicken....I haven't met anybody yet walk away disappointed over his chicken tip.
