Starting the day early π
, I prepared Southern Thai curry and other delicious Thai dishes at Mom's house. Today, I helped her with all the ingredients π§π§
and simmered the curry with dedication π₯. After more than two hours, every pot of food was ready to be enjoyed by everyone! ππ
π Afternoon at Pantip Market and Family Unity π§Ί
After preparing the food, we headed to Pantip Market π, our happy spot. Today was truly a family gathering!
π¨π» My husband helped move and set up the food cart. π
π΄πΌπ¦π» My father and nephew helped out, taking care of the shop's tidiness. β¨
From noon to evening today, I'll be mainly handling the food presentation at the front of the shop myself π£οΈπ² because my husband has to take time off to complete an important task: renovating our house himself π¨π‘. He's becoming a makeshift construction worker for our home πͺ.
π§οΈ Rainy Evening, Pigeons, and Waiting ποΈβ³
The market was bustling with activity π₯, with both foreign tourists and locals constantly buying rice and curry dishes πποΈ. Meanwhile, little pigeons waded around, scavenging for leftover food π¦, creating a very lively scene.
But then, as evening approached, heavy rain suddenly fell π§οΈβ‘. The vendors scrambled to spread out their tarpaulins to protect their food β. Although the rain didn't last long, it instantly quieted the market. Customers disappeared with the downpour. All we could do was prepare ourselves and remain patient, waiting for another chance π€οΈ.
π After the Rain: Smiles and Sharing β¨π
And then the sky smiled upon us βοΈ When the rain stopped, foreign tourists began to trickle back into the market πΊοΈ I quickly resumed presenting the food π₯, scooping and feeding customers the authentic taste of Thai food with a smile and sincerity π. Thanks to our efforts, we sold out smoothly today, meeting our target! ππ
π‘ Returning to the Warm Nest at Night ππ
Even after closing the shop and returning home, the duties of a housewife and animal lover aren't over yet. πΎ Two parrots π¦π¦ and three turtles π’π’π’ are all chirping and waiting for food from me. I take care of feeding the little ones π₯ and finish the housework like doing the laundry π§Ίπ§Ί.
Even though each day on this island is tiring ποΈ, seeing people happily eating our food π½οΈπ₯° and seeing everyone in the family working together hand in hand is the greatest source of strength. β€οΈπͺ
