Hola amigos de Hive, feliz lunes. Este es mi primer post de fotos en blanco y negro, espero les guste.
In my opinion, black and white photos represent a great challenge since there are fewer variables, we only have light, shadow and gray scale. But it is easier to capture the essence in photography since there is no distraction that photographs can have when they are in color.
En mi opinión, las fotos en blanco y negro representan un gran desafío ya que hay menos variables, solamente contamos con la luz, sombra y la escala de grises. Pero se puede captar más fácil la esencia en la fotografía ya que no hay la distracción que pueden tener las fotografías al ser a color.
In this case, I took advantage of the lighting conditions that the apartment in which I live has and turned off all the light bulbs, the only source of light that I used was a candle. It was like an experiment, moving the candle away and closer to give more or less intensity of light to the face, placing the candle at various altitudes to make various angles of shadows.
En este caso, aproveché las condiciones de entrada de luz que posee el departamento en el que vivo y apagué todos los bombillos, el único recurso de luz que utilicé fue una vela. Fue como un experimento, alejar y acercar la vela para dar mayor o menor intensidad de luz al rostro, colocar la vela en varias altitudes para hacer varios ángulos de sombras.
I also wanted to play with some resources, no matter how simple they were, and see what results I got. For example, play with the strands of hair and look for shadows along the face. In some photos, use a white wall so that the background was not too dark, in other photos use the space so that the background was completely black, a black flannel was also used to highlight the skin tone and make more contrast. And of course, experiment with different exposure levels to control the amount of light that passes through the camera sensor.
También quise jugar con algunos recursos por más sencillos que fuesen y ver qué resultado obtenía. Por ejemplo, jugar con los mechones de cabello y buscar sombras a lo largo de la cara. En algunas fotos usar una pared blanca para que el fondo no fuese muy oscuro, en otras fotografías utilizar el espacio para que el fondo fuese totalmente negro, también se usó una franela negra para resaltar el tono de la piel e hiciera más contraste. Y por supuesto, probar con distintos niveles de exposición para controlar la cantidad de luz que pasa por el sensor de la cámara.
