Coming back home from work in the evening, the only question running through my mind is “what will I cook tonight?”
Especially if it's a weekend man. Normal days would do with basic curries and vegetables but weekends are not meant for simple food.
The entire metro journey I keep thinking and mostly I come home blank 🤣 and then I pester my husband with the same question “what should we eat for dinner?” I hardly get an answer from him, he generally says “Kuch bhi bana lo” meaning “make anything”. Now that’s definately not a desirable answer.
While coming back today, I thought I should hire a cook to prepare the dinner for us. I immediately sent a text message to my society wtsapp group asking for a decent cook in our society who can cook for us only the dinner meal. Considering I live in a society, it’s very easy to find a cook. Ladies these days are not very fond of cooking and a lot of them hote cooks to cook all three meals for their families. I got almost 4-5 contacts. Rather than thinking about what to prepare tonight in the metro, i dialed each one of them and asked them if they have time to cook dinner for us. Most of them denied saying they don’t have time. And the 2 who confirmed they can have me a horrifying quote. I mean first of all I would sacrifice on the taste of the food and then pay heavily for it.
I immediately opted out of this plan. And then I again started thinking how to manage the situation in hand.
By the time I could draw a conclusion, my destination station came and my thought process was paused.
When I came home, before I could even ask him what should I cook in the evening, he took me to the kitchen and showed me the wonderful food he had ordered for us 🤩 although I am not in favour of eating outside food always, but today came as a bliss. I was not in mood of cooking today because I was tired of traveling and there was a lot of work at my workplace as well.
This was the food he ordered.
Veg Salt and Pepper as Starters
Soya Chaap Role for my main course
There was some butter chicken also I didn’t have the it because it’s the first Navratri today. It’s a period of 9 days where people fast and pray to god. So most people don’t eat non-vegetarian food. I anyways don’t eat non-veg so it was like any other day for me. But the soya chaap role and salt and pepper vegetables were awesome 😍
Not a bad weekend after all, ended with some good food and more time to myself.
