Hi all! I would like to tell you about a situation that happened to me recently and that required me to try to reduce my activity a little...
It turns out that for some time now, I have been presenting a discomfort in my chest, more specifically in the heart. Said discomfort not only generates tachycardia, but also reduces my breathing and therefore leads me to stay still while the discomfort passes. Sometimes it comes with pain in each palpitation or sometimes it doesn't... and that happens at certain times such as: a scare, a loud sound or some concern.
Due to my daily activities, I put the subject aside and to "check myself later", since apart from having a part-time job, my university classes, Hive publications, I also have to be in charge of other things. .. But, as we always think that we are super human or that we are machines, I admit that I overdid it, cutting down on rest time and sometimes... skipping meals (I know it was wrong 😅).
Anyway... but what led me to make the decision to take the matter seriously were two situations in which the pain was more intense than usual. One was on December 24, whoever follows my publications will know that that day I was alone where I am residing. Well, at night, the chest pain appeared and I had trouble breathing. I was not alarmed, because as I mentioned, it is something that has happened to me several times. I lay down and waited for the pain to subside and I could breathe normally. I was like that for two hours, until it finally disappeared. It's stressful, because you can't do anything and it completely limits you.
The second was last week and it was the one that scared me the most. Because it happened to me while I was sleeping. I was sleeping peacefully, with a bit of flu discomfort, when suddenly, a strong pain in my chest woke me up, which felt every time I breathed, as if I had something, like a balloon inside my chest, added to a throbbing and painful sensation where the heart is located. I admit that I was very scared, because I did not know what to do to make the pain stop and every time I breathed it was worse... it is very scary and desperate to be in situations like this, you think you are going to die and you are desperately looking for a way to get you back I do not wish it to anyone...
After a while, the pain disappeared as it came, out of nowhere. So, after that terrifying overnight experience, I went to the doctor the next day. I used my Hive savings, which I'm mostly using, for my medical expenses, well, apart from the heart issue, I have other things to deal with...
When the doctor attended me, I told her my situation. They did an electrocardiogram which came out fine. That intrigued me, because if everything was fine with my heart, why did they give me such ugly pain? Because sometimes they are accompanied by tremor throughout the body. They took my blood pressure, weighed me and measured me. After talking a little more with the doctor, she prescribed me some pills and sent me to do some tests. To finish, he gave me some advice to take things easy, find a way not to get stressed or scared. What made me understand that perhaps it was some anxiety, although, it remains to be seen how I will do in the exams and how I am doing with the treatment.
The pills they sent me are ones for tachycardia, I must take one daily, at night and in case of discomfort. The other is an antioxidant, also one a day, in the morning. All this for a month. Thanks to the money generated here in Hive, I was able to buy them without problems, since if I had had the money from my main job, I would not have been able to afford everything ha ha
After this, apart from taking the task of not stressing myself very seriously, I have also made the decision to reduce a little my activity as a content generator here at Hive. For those who follow my publications, you will have noticed that I published once a day, which I liked a lot, because I like to talk about different things... but, I think that the best thing is to take even one day in between, so as not to feeling "pressured" by myself, to publish hehe I'll also try to use that time when I'm not making a publication, for other activities that relax me, like drawing or listening to music...
I hope this week to start doing the tests to go back and see what my body may be trying to tell me. I wanted to make this publication as a relief and also just in case, someone who reads this, is like me believing that we are machines and that we never get exhausted hehe let's listen to our body or else things could lead to a point of no return .
