I recently moved from Wisconsin to upstate NY. I'm interested in birds, folk music, geology, gardening, and traditional folk life. I work as a musician. I have very recently begun volunteer work here in Hudson Falls, including leading a charity quilt group, working the sound system for a church, and running a social group for Mensans at the public library. I think that my first goal for writing here, will be to record my impressions of my new environment, and to discuss some of my plans and challenges regarding my new occupations here.
