MY INTRODUCTION POST
Hello Ecency! A Passionate Conservationist from Nigeria
Hello everyone!
My name is Charles Anyebe Paul, and I am thrilled to become part of the Ecency community. I've heard wonderful things about this platform, and I'm excited to meet people from different parts of the world who share knowledge, creativity, and inspiring life experiences.
I am from Nigeria, where I work as a Field Conservation Officer with the Nigerian Conservation Foundation. My work allows me to spend a great deal of time in nature, protecting wildlife, supporting biodiversity conservation, and promoting environmental education. It is more than just a career to me; it is a calling and a lifestyle that I genuinely enjoy every single day.
I've always had a deep love for animals. While I appreciate all wildlife, I have a special fascination with birds and snakes. Birds amaze me with their incredible diversity, beautiful songs, and remarkable migrations, while snakes have always fascinated me because of their unique behaviors, ecological importance, and the many misconceptions surrounding them. I enjoy learning about these animals, observing them in their natural habitats, and helping others understand why they deserve protection rather than fear.
One of my favorite experiences is simply being in the forest. The fresh air, towering trees, the sounds of birds at dawn, and the peaceful atmosphere make me feel completely at home. There is something truly special about walking through a forest trail and knowing that every sound and movement tells a story about nature.
I also enjoy night patrols and camping in the wilderness. Many people find the forest intimidating after sunset, but I find it fascinating. The forest comes alive in a completely different way at night. Listening to nocturnal birds, spotting wildlife with flashlights, and experiencing the calmness under a sky full of stars are moments I treasure. These experiences have strengthened my appreciation for conservation and reminded me how important it is to protect these natural spaces for future generations.
I also enjoy planting trees because trees give life and sustains it. Whenever I plant a tree, I believe I have added a bit to the sustainability of life and the environment for future generations.
When I'm not working in the field, you'll probably find me on a football pitch. Football is one of my favorite hobbies, and I enjoy both playing the game and watching it whenever I have the chance.
And yes! I'm a proud Manchester United supporter! 鉂わ笍馃枻 No matter the season, I continue to stand behind my club because that's what true supporters do. Supporting United has taught me patience, resilience, and the importance of believing that better days are always ahead.
For religious activities, I鈥檓 a member of the Baptist Church and also a member of the Royal Ambassadors of Nigeria, a department created for young boys and men of the Baptist Church to groom them properly from Boyhood until they are men.
Through Ecency, I hope to share:
Wildlife encounters from the field.
Conservation stories and environmental education.
My adventures during forest patrols and camping trips.
Beautiful birds, reptiles, and other fascinating wildlife.
Experiences from ecotourism and biodiversity conservation.

I also hope to learn from all of you. One of the things I love most about communities like this is the opportunity to exchange ideas, discover different cultures, and grow together. I believe everyone has a story worth telling, and I'm looking forward to reading yours while sharing mine.
