I went to a small, independent college in Pennsylvania. I studied architecture. I have a tendency to get lost in my designs but, since I was distracted a lot, I barely touched most of my classes. I took a couple of elective classes, so I could finish my program, but I haven't submitted anything to a possible job place yet.
I'm 20 now. I still haven't found a job even though I've applied for jobs everywhere with the help of an online job service. I haven't even gotten a reply. I'm not qualified for as much as a chocolatier, apparently. I also have a weakness for ice cream and chocolate which, according to my doctor, is actually a result from my depression. He didn't know how to cure it. I'm considering trying to find a different one.
What you need to know is that I've always been a bit of an introvert. I'm very fond of the Internet since it's introduction to the world and, to me, it was a place filled with endless possibilities and a place in which I could design at my leisure. In reality, it's a place where unhappy people go to escape. Lots of them. It's my escape as well. I'm bored most of the time, so I'd go online to talk to my only friends, but I prefer drawing and designing.
I'm 5'6, with a pale complexion. I'm a bit overweight with sort of rounded blue eyes. My hair was long and dark brown, but it's starting to grow lighter and shorter. I don't like my fashion sense, according to other people. I'm a bit girly at times, but I like to experiment with different clothes, so I'm often considered by others as eccentric.
I moved to a new place. A few weeks ago, I had finally decided to change my school and keep it. This one was way better. The campus is huge and, despite the size, it feels very intimate. It's a faculty's private residence that used to be used by students, but they had decided to give it to the faculty to stay. It was a nice idea. It was independent of the other teachers, so you could ask for help with your problems regarding the university.
There are over 50 students, so I guess it's hard to meet your peers, but everyone knows everyone at some point. There are over 50 registered professors and administrative staff and I don't even know them all. So, I think I might be a bit behind everyone else.
I've rented a room with another person. I share the room with her, but I'm paying most of the rent, as she's slightly older. You'd say she's my senior, but we're the same age. My roommate's name is Patricia. I've been living in college residence halls for the last two years, so I'm not used to sharing my place with another person. Still, I guess it wouldn't be too hard getting used to that.
She has her own room and can run a bar business really well. She's not a student since she's a bit older and she has more money than I could ever dream of. She's a bit big, with curly, brown hair, but she's fun and outgoing! At first, I wasn't too sure about naming this place home, but I've grown fond of it.
I'm also fond of the bar owner, who seems charming. He's a 42 year old man named Will. He's a sweet guy and is always pleasantly available to talk. At first, I was hesitant to get to know him, but I got bored with my own company easily, so I started talking to him. He was a good listener and had a monopoly on the drinks, at least.
I'd probably be the best customer of Will's bar if I don't play my cards right. He's offering drinks for half price on Friday night, so I decided to come here with friends and grab a bite.
My table was at the middle of the room. There were two other people at the table but I didn't recognize the two guys. One of the girls was studying at the library, but the other one was in her early twenties, maybe just a bit older than me. I didn't know who she was at all. She was as skinny as ever. She's always been that way.
The other guy was sitting alone and we started chatting. His name was Brett. He was also a student at my university and a total flirt. Honestly, I think he's a bit of a player, but I'd rather flirt with someone than dealing with my own problems. He was drunk but he was nice to talk and I had a lot of fun. He was quite a bit taller than me. He had brown hair. His eyes were grey and, when I talk to him, I feel like being on a roller coaster. He was a bundle of energy and had too many ideas in one head. I don't know if I like him or not.
I decided to go to the bar. I sat down, right next to a bunch of people I didn't really know. I've been a loner pretty much all my life, so I'm not used to being around a group of people. I liked talking, but I had a hard time keeping the conversation flowing and I was afraid that they'd lose interest in me. I'm just not very good at socializing.
