While everyone's caught up in the flailing about of these two abhorrent political parties, acting for the world like red and blue used car lot happy-guy inflatables desperately trying to attract buyers... in the real world banksters are manipulating markets, imploding the dollar and skimming the wealth, antibiotics are losing effectiveness, bees are dying off... and these are just three things generally ignored, yet of considerably greater import than the dog and pony show going on in the District of Criminals.
I have no idea what average citizens expect of the nincompoops they dutifully vote into office year after year, when it's abundantly clear they will be so sorely (and inevitably) disappointed.
After awhile, you just have to turn off the news and turn your attention to something real, and you find that laughing at the lunacy going on in the country is the only practical option. Who could have predicted that the fall of America would be so damned entertaining?
