Good morning! I am doing a comic art just awhile ago but then I realized today, August 15, is the HOMELESS ANIMALS DAY and so I put my current work aside and made a simple drawing for today's celebration. I think it's a perfect day to celebrate it because it's also Caturday.

Here I drew a black stray cat looking at the window hoping for someone to notice him and feed him and maybe take him in and adopt him. It is very sad to see homeless animals, wandering on the streets, hungry, dirty, and sleeping on wet floors. Some of them growl when a human comes near them, some are afraid and run away, and there are some friendly ones too. I believe the homeless animals deserve love from us because deep inside, these animals are also longing for love and care and a warm cozy place they can consider their home.

In our case, most of the cats we had were stray cats. They just suddenly appear outside our house, we feed them, and they stay here forever. It's amazing how cats can just intrude your property, ask food, and make it its home without your permission. You have no choice. Lol. There's even a meme that says cats are Gods because of the ancient Egyptians.

When I was little (around 4 years old), we had a very kind mama stray tabby cat my mother and sister named "Kumare", which means "Godmother" or a female that is very close to you. Every morning, the first thing I'll do is go out the house walk to the laundry area where I'll see her sleeping. I'd pat her which will then wake her up. She'll go down and rub her body on my feet for several times. Sometimes I'll sit while she rubs her body and her tail would sometimes hit my face. Hahaha.

Kumare is also a very responsible mama cat. Whenever there is a storm and flood, she makes sure her kittens are on a safe and elevated area. One time, one of her kittens accidentally fell into the flood. Kumare didn't think twice and jumped into the water to rescue her kitten. Brave mama cat!

In Turkey, stray cats are very much loved and taken care of. Thank you, Turkey!

Since today is Homeless Animals Day, maybe it's safe to say that today is Straykat's day as well! 馃槀
