Dogs are man's best friend and sometimes, a nephew.
Please say hi to Bruno, my sister's unico hijo (only son).
Bruno is a Deer Head Chihuahua and a spoiled baby of my sister. As I have searched about the Deer breed of Chihuahua, the main characteristics of the Deer Head are longer neck, ability to jump high, and its head shape that is similar with a deer.
My sister lives in a different country so I still haven't met Bruno, although my sister would often send me photos of her son and tell about things he did that day. (But most of the photos she sends are Bruno just sleeping. Lol) My tiny four-legged nephew prefers to sleep on my sister's bed than on his own bed. He would lick my sisters feet then ears, then feet then ears. She's probably used to it, but watching it felt a bit gross.
One time we had a video call with my sister and saw Bruno being quiet. He even stayed alone on their living room with lights shut off. We thought he was sad but my sister told us that that's just how he is. Bruno is a timid and obedient dog, but of course, he can be a little naughty too sometimes!
I was having a conversation with my sister last year about her son's favorite and not-so-favorite foods when she mentioned that Bruno kept chewing the edge of her bed. Being the crazy aunt that I am, I suggested for her to stick that bone for teething Bruno disliked so much on the part of the bed he was chewing.
I only said and suggested the idea as a joke but then after a while, my sister sent me a photo.
She attached the bone with a tape on the target area and told me that it worked. Hahaha! I don't which was funnier: my sister actually giving in to my idea or Bruno no longer interested of chewing the bed because the bone he dislikes was on it.
Bruno's name was Bruno because it was the only name he would respond to. I laughed at my sister when she first told us her dog's name because Bruno seems like a name suited for a big muscular dog, like a pit bull for example. But then here's my sister's Bruno, a tiny spoiled dog. There's a bunch of chihuahuas on my sisters home but then only Bruno was allowed to stay inside the house because he was the only pet who was potty trained. The rest of Bruno's family lives on a dog house outside.
Hopefully I can meet and pet Bruno someday, and hopefully he welcomes me as part of his family.
