Good morning! It's another birthday post! A few days ago, we celebrated my second brother's birthday. We have a lot of Pisces in the family. Hehe! As usual, we only have simple birthday celebrations. Oftentimes, there were no visitors. Just us.
Our mother woke up around 5 a.m. to cook the all-time favorite spaghetti. I was still awake around this time doing something on my laptop and an hour later, I went out of the room to speculate the situation in kitchen. She was almost done preparing the ingredients for the spaghetti and was only slicing the last few pieces of hot dogs. The butter and garlic was already on the wok and she instructed me to pour the onions and cook while she's preparing the ingredients. And so I did. I'm glad I was able to participate in cooking even though I was only just mixing the ingredients.
Tada!
I wish the pasta was the flat one but my brother bought the regular pasta. My bought the ingredients himself so he also bought a sweet spaghetti sauce which was different from the usual spaghetti sauce my mother used to buy. The taste was good but the previous spaghetti was better.
Around 9 a.m., my brother woke up. Later on, I was surprised when I knew the spaghetti will be brought by my brother to his girlfriend's house. I thought half of it was for us, but at least we get one serving each for breakfast. Lol!
Anyway, at least we have delivered foods too. We had spinach pizza again for the nth time and some foods we ordered from fast food.
I finally got to order the Chicharap too! I miss this food so much, I remember it was among my favorite foods from this fast food restaurant when I was little. It's light, crunchy, and delicious. And when you place it on top of your tongue, you'll feel tiny crackles gripping your tongue. I'm not sure how to exactly describe it and whether or not I am using the right words. Lol. This usually comes with a vinegar dip on dine-in and it boggles me why they don't include it for takeout.
We can't eat everything all at once and so we set aside some for dinner. We had sweet potato bread pudding, pizza again, and at tiny fried chicken brought by my brother. He also had another birthday celebration at his girlfriend's home. He brought home some spring rolls and salad too, which we ate the next day.
Of course, since it's almost summer, we had another large serve of the halo-halo. I'm happy because the halo-halo have purple yam jam this time! The halo-halo tasted more delicious.
We also got a tub of ice cream for my brother's birthday which we still haven't eaten until this day. By the way, the spinach pizza now comes with a hot sauce! Finally! Our eldest brother gave it to me because "it wasn't too spicy", according to him. He prefers the hot sauce we have here at home.
Well, I kind of believed him and so I poured the entire sachet in one slice of pizza. But oh boy, I took my first bite and felt my mouth burning. It was very spicy that it overpowers the taste of the pizza. The hot sauce we have at home complements better with the pizza.
That's all for my brother's simple birthday celebration. He had a bigger celebration at his girlfriend's home though.
