When you close your eyes, what do you see?
Personally, my life i.e. the darkness. Lol, just kidding!
However as I say, or maybe the world as well, jokes are just a funny way of expressing harsh reality. We just accept that way as something acceptable.
Anyways, this is not the point of discussion today.
My concern is: world of closed eyes.
Now this world is a double-edged sword. There is beautiful concept of imagination; there is this over thinking. Apparently, closing one's eyes does not turn off the brain. Yes, it does in some scenarios, especially when we fall asleep. But when eyes, closed in other manner: tons of other changes happen.
We are used to seeing things with an open eyes. Light enters, things appear mostly materialistic things, and we name it reality. But the moment the eyes are closed, another reality appears. Depending on the one we want it to be. If it is a positive one, we will imagine a good world ahead. If not, the closed eyes are nothing but darkness.
In favor of Darkness.
We usually take darkness as something heinous. Take? We all are afraid of it. Even the monsters love to remain in those dark areas. At least, this is what I have been taught since childhood. However, the adult me loves the darkness more than the brightness.
And back to the actual point: darkness is innocent. It does not tell us whether something good or terrible is waiting inside it. It is we, who provide it with the meaning. A person may have a test or interview tomorrow, and he will close his eyes and meet every possible disaster before breakfast. Another may close them and build a future that has not happened yet. Both are looking at nothing, yet both are experiencing something.
Maybe that is what makes the world behind closed eyes so interesting. The darkness itself is just dark, the binary of light. It does not tell us whether tomorrow will be good or bad, whether we will succeed or fail or whether something beautiful or terrible is waiting for us. We are the ones who fill that darkness with stories. Some fill that with hope, others will choose God to be their driver, and some will float like clouds in the air. Few are the dedicated one, living a planned life. Still life has its own ways of doing things.
In the end, it is just a reminder to close your eyes. See the world you want, positive or negative; it is your decision.
But the thing is: do not let the brightness take over the darkness from you.
Because if this happen, this world will be a boring place. We all are mortal beings, so live it ratjer than survivng. Remember what Kafka said: "The meaning of life is that it ends." Make sure to see the darkness and the brightness before it ends.
