“Should I believe his words?” This was the question that kept me on hold after hearing the sweet and melodious words from a client that I saw. He was so optimistic and factual about what he was advertising.

“Our office is in Lagos”, he said, but then I was sure of his words immediately I heard that statement.
I'm the type of person who loves buying things online. I happened to be in need of electrical parts as I deal with electrical even though I'm involved in teaching. Everyone wants something cheap and wants to get it from a reliable source.
I was searching through the Internet one fateful day when I saw this advert which says, "get electrical appliances of different types”. I knew it was what I was looking for. I tried to make more findings and discovered that everything written there was real.
I tried to search through the profiles and search through whatever he had in stock and discovered that they were what I required. A phone number was boldly written on the Facebook page of this guy. I dialled the phone number and it rang. Without wasting of time, someone answered the call. We started discussing on the amount of each item he had in there.
“How do I pay, cash or transfer?” I asked politely and happily. I have been searching for this opportunity for so long and had never seen it not until this moment. My friend who was also dealing with electrical electronics had seen this opportunity some time ago and I had it in mind to let him know if he will also be interested.
“Transfer”, he replied. After the discussion, we head to his Facebook page and started chatting. I told him I will also bring in someone who will buy goods in bulk and I had to negotiate on how much he was going to give you me as a commission. He was somehow happy that he had seen customers.
He told me he will give me 10% of whatever the person wanted to buy. His got me enticed, and I was carried away by his sweet words. He has this good way of cresting his messages just to win the mind of customers.
I called my friend and told him about it. He was also happy to hear that, but then he was doubting this person. I ran to his shop and showed him the Facebook page. He checked it and replied to me that “this guy is fake. He's not having anything to sell but just wants to dupe you”.
Just like Thomas, I was angry and told my friend to stop saying words like this. I told him about how we had chatted and spoke on the phone. I was so annoyed that I left his place.
I chatted the guy up again and asked him if it was okay before delivery. “You must pay before I deliver the goods to you”, he said.
I was about to transfer the amount as his account number was on his Facebook page, before my friend knocked on my door. I was angry with him, but he said to prove him right, I have to follow what he had to do before making the payment.
He chatted the guy up and said he was interested in his items. He told the guy that he was in Lagos, and he will come to their office to take his items. This guy insisted. “You must transfer the amount before coming to the office to take your goods”, he said.
My friend again still insisted and said to this guy he was going to their office after a few hours. He said he was at the front of the address he called their office. “I did not see anything called office in this place”, my friend said as he called this guy.
A few minutes later, the phone number was switched off, and he replied to my friend on Facebook: “nonsense, you want to destroy my market right?”
This was when I knew I would have fallen for the guy. He was a scammer and all thanks to my friend who smelled rat in the guy's message, or else, I would have fallen victim.
