Traditionally when you think of Christmas movies you think of Frosty the Snowman, or cheesy Netflix flicks.
Generally you never think of bad things. Scary things. Horror movies even seem out of the question!
This year Santa isn't coming to town. It's none other than Krampus.
# Krampus is Saint Nicholas's "shadow" and he punishes the children who have misbehaved.
Krampus is based on an Austrian and German folktale and is a "half-goat, half-demon" and is rather the opposite of Saint Nicholas.
## They made a movie about him. A HORROR movie.
You aren't supposed to watch scary movies around Christmas. Christmas is supposed to be a fun and enjoyable time, free of fear.
Don't get me wrong. I love horror movies.
On the other hand, it is Christmas time. In my opinion, horror and Christmas should not mix. Though this movie is sort of an exception.
This movie has everything. Lots of violence, suspense, and horror.
One of the creepiest parts of the movie are Krampus's minions.
For example...
That was the teddy bear.
Teddy bears can't be evil, right? Apparently not.
Some presents are just more than they appear to be. Who knows, you might have an evil devouring teddy bear under your tree.
Though Clowns are certainly scarier than teddy bears.
This movie is just a nightmare. I would never want this to happen to me on Christmas.
Would you? Though this movie is horror, it portrays a good message. Always believe in the Christmas spirit.
As for the movie itself, it was pretty popular.
It grossed over 61.5 Million USD at box office. While their budget was only 15 Million. I'd say they did pretty good.
For those who saw the movie when it came out, that 2015 Christmas was unlike no other.
