Koh Chang is known as a great getaway off the shores of Trat, Thailand. Koh Chang or Chang Island is a natural paradise that has countless activities for visitors. One of the island's greatest treasures is Mu Ko Chang National Park, which contains the magical waters of Khlong Plu Waterfall.
From the ranger station, Khlong Plu Waterfall is approximately 600 meters through the jungle. It's a rough path through 4 stations. The trail is filled with natural beauty at its finest.
You can rest at each station on your path as well as play within the station's safe waters. When you reach the final station where the breathtaking waterfall is, you're greeted by the fish that eat the dead skin off your feet.
You see visitors dipping their feet in the pool to let the fish groom their toes while others jump in the crystal clear emerald waters of Khlong Plu Waterfalls. The swimming hole is 5 meters deep and perfectly safe to dive in head first if you have the ability to. The highest diving rocks are only 6 ft. high and there aren't any visible rocks that can cause harm in the crystal clear waters.
When we arrived at the waterfall's swimming pool, I was instantly in awe from the waterfall's thunderous pressure. I wasted no time securing my party in a safe spot to play with the fish. I saw a couple jump from the diving rocks and the way they entered the water, I knew I could dive off the rocks head first.
When I entered the crystal clear emerald waters, the chill of it relieved my body that had been tested by the heat. There's a healing effect of Khlong Plu Waterfalls because every time I jumped in its emerald waters, I felt more energetic. I took my Lifestraw and was able to drink directly from the emerald waters, which I felt its chilled waters refuel me with each gulp. I got empowerment from every aspect of the gorgeous waterfall.
As we trekked back through the jungle to the ranger station, I was still replaying the priceless events in my mind. The fish that were eating the skin off our feet down to diving in the amazing waterfall pool were all priceless experiences. We all promised ourselves we would one day return to the magical waters of Khlong Plu Waterfalls and again drink from it. I hope that one day is soon because a part of my heart is already on Koh Chang only after a few days.
