Having a place to go is definitely important for creatives to seek out. However, it would be all for not if there was no one to make it happen. This photo was from a Summer Jazz Painting Session we helped curate. We invited and encouraged the attendees from a busy lifestyle to take a moment and rest their day to day actions. A wide selection of jazz music played in the background, intermittently while the instructor explained each section of the painting for everyone to follow. There's nothing like the meditation you experience while creating art. That was the intention we wanted to achieve for the parents and young adults that needed to relieve stress.
"If you build it, they will come." If you haven't figured it out, this was the line taken from a classic film called 'Field of Dreams '. The movie may be about baseball, and attempting to mix sports with art can prove to be a difficult move. I think this is a fair analogy toward the point I'm trying to make.
Art is meant to be shared and people make up the body to do so. Upon creating the field, a rich environment with works of creation that only derive from imagination, to the collective conscious of minds to determine their thoughts of understanding.
In comes the leadership. Brilliant minds with a vision put in motion, for others to find.
Commencing new ideas for exhibitions or projects require the necessary communication. Our artist collective takes pride in knowing our organizers and leaders consist of artists themselves, stepping aside from our comfort zone, to carry out meaningful productions.
We make ourselves. Keep your energy alive.
I have to sign off now as we lead further into our day.
To you, stay true.
Wherever you are, good morning, good evening, and goodnight!
