Welcome to my #wednesdaywalk hosted by the one and only @tattoodjay 馃檪 The community is legendary and he is the OG 馃ぃ This small sunflower garden along my driveway begins my walk.
I started down the country lane that leads to the lake.
With an eye out for sunflowers 馃尰
Ok this is actually rudbeckia or commonly black-eyed susan.
Another color combination of black-eyed susan.
Nice grassy field with some more traditional black-eyed susan although with interesting color variation.
The field opposite the black-eyed susans was filled with daylilies. They were still closed but all of them together made a nice orange blanket of color.
Back into the forest.
Finally to the lake. Overcast. Holiday weekend is over. Boat out of the water on boat lift.
We returned to the house but were greeted with a crime scene!
The local squirrel gang decided it was time to harvest our sunflowers 馃檨
Here is the garden after the squirrel raid.
This is before our walk... probably 45 minutes. In, out, took the goods and disappeared. Maybe it was a preemptive strike since I've been talking about harvesting some of "their" walnuts this year @sketch.and.jam 馃槅
Well I'll leave you with a flower picture to #makemesmile after my loss
