The predicted snow actually happened. 18 inches! Its snowed all day. So what do you do? Get out there! We planned ahead and checked out some loaner snowshoes from our local library.

While I wait for Mother Nature to turn my world white again tonight, I found some lovely greens to remind me of summer. I'll try to remember these images when digging out of the snow storm tomorrow.

Snowed last night. Here are a few different looks of the snow. There are only so many ways to photograph snow 🙄 I hope to be photographing spring flowers soon.

A random walk through the woods. Always some interesting patterns to be found in the fungi. Different looks from different angles change the picture. Zoomed out. Leaves and fungi.

Vermont is in maple syrup season. Sugaring season runs from late February to early April. My town gives away maple syrup from a local farm to new residents 🙂

Another foggy morning at the lake. New look without any ice on the surface leading to some reflections. Earlier this week the clouds were a little lower and there was still significant ice on the lake.

Foggy morning at Lake Dunmore in the Green Mountains of Vermont. Warm days with ice still on the lake lead to lots of fog. The ice is slowly yielding but we still have a month or so of winter.

Looking out the "window" of Ethan Allen cave near Branbury State Park in Salisbury, Vermont. The cave is inside this massive boulder along the shores of Lake Dunmore.

Join me on the 4 mile, 1200 ft climb up to Rattlesnake Cliffs overlook in the Moosalamoo National Recreation Area in Vermont's Green Mountains. The views are worth it 🙂
