Lake Dunmore is starting to have some ice. At least in the shallows. The rest of the lake is covered with geese 😆Geese are either gathering up here before heading further south or just stopping off

Lots of pictures of stacks of wood under the snow. I find the details interesting. I was cleaning up dead fall in the woods behind our house. There are stacks of wood all over now.

When it snows, snow piles up on things. Stacking snow can make interesting photos. Snow on stumps is one of my favorites.

We got our first snow with any accumulation. I felt obligated to get out for some photos. But not motivated enough to follow this pathway into the woods 😁

A barred owl visited our backyard on Thanksgiving. We saw him on the corner post on top of the birdhouse I put up. Neighborhood owls are probably not welcoming to bluebirds looking for a nest lol

Pemetic Ridge Trail, Acadia National Park near Bar Harbor, Maine. Last month we hiked up to the peak of Pemetic Mountain which is 1248 ft above sea level. The route we took was about 4.5 miles.

Sunrise in the Superstition Mountains, near Apache Junction, Arizona. We were camping in the Lost Dutchman State Park. The rugged mesa rock formation to the right is called the Flatiron.

Waving alien cactus 👽 Took a short trip to Arizona. One of the highlights was Saguaro National Park near Tucson, Arizona. Lots of different cacti.

Sunrise at Bar Harbor, Maine. We recently took a roadtrip up to Maine for my wife's birthday. Its about 3 hours to the coast and a couple more up north to Bar Harbor.
