Beautiful fall day in Vermont. I took a walk down to the lake to look for some fall colors. The marina is quiet on this early Saturday morning. The lake is empty this time of year.

Fall days at the lake are beautiful. I walked down to the lake for my #wednesdaywalk hosted by @tattoodjay The boats are starting to be put away for winter along with docks, eventually everything.

A few photos from fall in Vermont. Fall colors aren't quite here yet. But fall also means pumpkins, mums, apples, and harvest time. Plus my favorite apple cider donuts! Mmm...donuts!

Mono Monday shots. The two tone sunflower looks good in mono and so does the spider 🙂 I have some landscapes of the Adirondacks looking across Lake Champlain that came out nice in mono.

I went for a short hike along Lake Champlain. Lovely day. 70F, some sun, light breeze and NO RAIN Even the gulls were basking in the sun on this glorious day.

I got out early for a #wednesdaywalk (hosted by @tattoodjay ). These shots are of Mount Moosalamoo across Lake Dunmore.

A friend of mine was staying at Basin Harbour on Lake Champlain. I got to spend a night there as his guest. The resort is family owned since 1886, five generations and counting.

I drove 1400 miles and back over Labor Day Weekend. To see family and to bring home a pickup truck! I've wanted a pickup truck ever since I moved to my new home out in the country in rural Vermont.

I edited some mushroom photos in mono for #mushroommonday Part of the fun of foraging is the photography. Fungi can be very unique.

Its a foggy morning at Lake Dunmore. We are staying at a friend's lake camp. They have lived here forever and have accumulated all the necessities of lake life.

We got out for a short hike along a new trail in our area. The Salisbury Mills trail is a new trail on 70 acres of forested land that is a part of the Middlebury Area Land Trust. #wednesdaywalk

Wet weather in Vermont means lots of mushrooms. Many are beautiful like this russula. But more importantly many are tasty 😋
