Carry Yourself With Confidence
If you feel unsure about yourself during any occasion do everything you can to outwardly project confidence when you meet with propects.
What you say in response to questions is essential (more on that later) but how you say it, as well as your overall appearance and how you carry yourself, is also meaningful. Here are a few things to keep in mind:
Mind your body language: Are you slumped in the chair? Fidgeting? Avoiding eye contact? These no-nos can make you appear unfocused, uninterested in the job, or unsure of yourself. Maintain good posture, make eye contact when you shake hands, and sit in a position that radiates engagement with the conversation.
Keep it directional with the most relevant points. While you may have years of experience in various roles, it’s important to only communicate what will help you achieve the role you are presently seeking.
Ensure correct spelling and grammar. Trying to fit as much information about yourself into a punchy sentence or two can mean a lot of word juggling which may lead to grammatical errors.
Try to be innovativelly different in your presentation to give your prospects an idea of what you are capable of doing if given a chance.
