So we let the ties break and the tide recedes, like the rolling of the thunder beyond.
The bereft and the weak embrace in urgentcy,
But still this heart beats full.

Miles stretch out all pregnant and longing,
But yet, our hands they never meet.
Measuring the yolks of our beings by our hands,
I find myself wondering, are we all but lost as we wander?

Together we fondle the electric wire,
And the lightning between us grows.
Apart we break to divide anew,
Sometimes that's just how the story goes.

Like letters in a fire our history incinerates,
The sweet stench of passion now vapid and bitter.
And as each solidifying moment seaps into your ventricles,
I find myself whispering "my love, lest we forget."
As a wandering heart is never bound,
And so it was my spirit released.
