My journey with Splinterlands continues, and lately, I have been thinking more about the small decisions I make whenever I prepare for a battle. Sometimes, I get so focused on choosing my cards and getting everything ready that I forget how much there is to learn from the process itself. Every time I play, I get another opportunity to understand my collection better and discover different ways to approach the game.

One thing I have noticed about my experience is that I no longer want to select cards without giving their roles enough thought. I want to understand why I am choosing a particular card and what I expect it to contribute to my team. Even when I am using familiar cards, I try to consider whether they are suitable for the situation instead of assuming that what worked previously will always work again.

There are times when I feel confident about my choices, and there are other moments when I have to think carefully about the available options. I actually enjoy that part of the game because it makes each battle feel like a decision-making exercise. I cannot predict everything my opponent will do, but I can at least take responsibility for the decisions I make before the match begins.

Another part of my experience is learning to appreciate the cards I already have. It is easy to spend time thinking about other cards I would like to collect, but I also want to understand the potential of the ones available to me. There may be combinations I have not explored or abilities I have not fully understood. Taking time to experiment with my existing collection gives me another reason to keep playing.

Of course, I know that not every decision will produce the result I want. Sometimes, I may look back at a match and realize that I could have approached it differently. Rather than allowing that to discourage me, I want to use those moments to improve. I believe that understanding my mistakes is just as important as recognizing the decisions that work well.

What keeps me interested is the fact that there is always something else to discover. Even when I think I understand a particular aspect of the game, another battle can give me a new perspective. I enjoy having that opportunity to keep learning instead of feeling as though I have already figured everything out.

As I continue playing, I want to become more thoughtful with my card selections, explore combinations I have not tried before, and pay closer attention to the decisions that shape each battle. I may not improve in every single match, but I can keep building my experience and learning at my own pace.

For now, I am enjoying the journey and looking forward to what comes next. Every battle is another chance to put my knowledge into practice, discover something new, and become more familiar with the game I enjoy.

What about you? When you enter Splinterlands, do you usually stick with the cards you know best, or do you enjoy experimenting with different combinations?
