Some of the discussions here are pretty serious, but we need some laughs too. I'd like to see more support for the comics and other comedy material that is being posted. People put a lot of work into creating it and they deserve to be rewarded.
@katharsisdrill was one of the first comic artists I saw here. His Phill from GCHQ series is very cool and geeky.
@joyoftech is an established comic on the web who have posted a few here with mixed responses. They probably have a steady income on their own site from advertising and merchandise, but someone has introduced them to the Steemit model. We should encourage them to stick around and then they may inspire other big names to sign up.
@spottyproduction has been here for a couple of months posting comics. They are a little surreal. May need to read the whole series to understand.

Who would you like to see on Steemit? Making a living as any kind of artist is hard work and so they should welcome some extra income. Relying on advertising could lead to compromises and it's likely that only a small minority of readers will buy books and shirts.
If an artist is using some automated method to publish to Twitter, Facebook, Instagram etc, then it should be possible to automate Steemit too given that it's an open API. I don't know what they use, but maybe someone has contacts with those who produce the software.
