I rarely look at Steemit. Steempeak doesn't work any more and I am not sure what other dapps they have. I don't hear about any development. I know people try to keep a community going, but it's largely about Steemit's own big votes.

There have been some proposals for marketing funding. I've not seen any ads yet though. We can all do something to spread the word and it's great to see Hive links on your site. People need to know they can back a project with Hive votes as an alternative to things like Patreon and Kickstarter.

Did you see how well Splinterlands is doing? They are getting over 10k new users per day! Not all of those will look at other parts of Hive, but they all get an account anyway. Massive potential there.

The price is up again today and that may help get attention, but Hive needs more recognition. The generic name does not help matters.

Anyway, I think things are looking positive right now.
