I am not a great collector of things. I have lots of books and CDs, but those are meant to be consumed. What I do collect are guitar picks/plectrums/plectra. I have over a hundred that started when I found I had accumulated a few different ones. I have been sent some by people around the world and buy any different ones I come across. I do not tend to pay a lot for them as it is just for fun.
On my latest trip I did look out for some, but had little success. The exception was a stall at Quincy Market in Boston that sold various novelties related to music. They had a little basket of picks from which I selected a couple. It was cool to get one with the city on it. It seems every souvenir shop has keyrings, badges, fridge magnets and other items, but picks are rarer.
The one on the left indicates a musical rest where you should not play anything.
The other additions were waiting for me when I got back. You should really check out this post by @verhp11 about his visit to the ABBA museum in Stockholm. That looks like a great place for any music fan. He was kind enough to buy me a couple of picks in the shop.
A bonus was one featuring Dutch entertainer Adriaan. I would not have that one otherwise.
These will join the collection once I find space and some Blu Tack. They do tend to get knocked off at times.
My collection is quite varied. Some picks are worn or even broken, but that does not matter. If you have any lying around that I might like then send me a photo. I can pay in upvotes and by sharing post rewards to cover the postage. If necessary I can send HBD.
Rock on!
