Hello everyone, hope all of you are doing great today. Since I start writing again , I thought today I would share something a little different. While scrolling through my gallery, I found these random photos that I took during my last trip back to my hometown about a month ago. At first I wasn't planning to make a blog about them because they are just random moments, but after looking at them again, I realised every photo actually reminds me of something from that trip. So I think why not share them here with all of you.
One of the photos was taken when we stopped by a grocery shop before going back home. We just wanted to buy some drinks and a few groceries that my mother asked us to bring back. Nothing really special happened there, but something outside the shop immediately caught my attention. There was a black and white cat sitting quietly near the entrance. He looked so comfortable, like he had been sitting there the whole day. People kept walking in and out, but he didn't seem to care at all. He just watched everyone passing by with that serious face. Looking at him, I almost felt like he was the one guarding the shop instead of the workers.
While we shopping, i noticed another cat inside the store. This one was different from the cat outside. Maybe they were friends, or maybe they just happened to like the same shop. This cat had already found the best place to relax. He was sleeping on the cool floor inside the air-conditioned shop while the weather outside was really hot. I couldn't stop laughing because he looked so peaceful. I quickly took a few photos before leaving because his sleeping pose was just too cute. Honestly, if I were a cat, I probably would choose the same place to sleep too.
The next few photos are from my father's farm. Actually they were not taken on the same day as the grocery shop, but they were still from the same trip back home, so I decided to put everything together in one post. During that time, the weather was extremely hot. It had not rained for quite some time, and even the small river near the farm was almost dry. Because of that, my father decided to stop using the hydroponic system for a while. We had already harvested vegetables from it before, so there wasn't much reason to keep it running when water was becoming limited. Sometimes farming is like that. You have to work together with nature instead of fighting against it.
Most of the garden beds were also empty . They weren't abandoned or forgotten. My father was simply waiting for the rain before starting another planting cycle. At first, an empty garden doesn't really look interesting, but if you know a little bit about farming, you understand that every harvest begins with an empty piece of land. Before you can enjoy fresh vegetables, you need to prepare the soil, wait for the weather, and have a little patience. Farming has always reminded me that not everything can be rushed.
Around the farm there were still some chilli plants, fruit trees and a few vegetables that managed to survive the hot weather. Some of them looked healthy enough, while others were obviously waiting for rain. Looking around the farm that day felt very quiet. There wasn't much work to do because the weather simply wasn't suitable. Sometimes the best thing to do is just leave everything alone and wait until nature is ready again.
Now it has already been around a month since I took these photos. My family told me that it has been raining quite often recently, so I guess the farm probably looks very different now. Maybe the garden beds are already full of green vegetables again. Maybe the hydroponic system is running once more. I honestly don't know because I haven't gone back yet, but I really wonder how everything looks today.
Looking through these old photos also reminded me that we don't always need a big event to create good memories. Sometimes it is just a random stop at a grocery shop, watching two lazy cats enjoying their day, or taking a few photos around my father's farm before heading home. These little moments probably don't look special to other people, but somehow they become the memories that I enjoy looking back on the most.
Thank you everyone for stopping by and reading another one of my blogs. I hope all of you have a wonderful day, and I'll see you again in my next post.
