When I checked my phone in bed this morning I was surprised to see the weather app predict snow by 8. By the time I was ready to head out it was coming down, but you can see it was not very much.
With the weather and not feeling on top form I was thinking of just doing a gentle jog around Fairfield, but it started to clear up as I ran along the High Street and so I decided I ought to do some hill sprints. I was glad I had opted for long sleeves and gloves, but I was still in shorts to show off my 'Scottish' legs. Strava reckons it felt like -5C.
After a couple of sprints the snow started again and you can see it was quite heavy. It was not too slippery, but the snow getting in my eyes was annoying. I persisted and did all five sprints even thought I thought of giving up after four. They were not especially quick today.
The snow had pretty much stopped by the time I got back and by lunch time it had all gone. That could be all we get this winter.
I feel like I had a good workout today even if I was a bit below normal pace. I was certainly warmed up. It will be interesting to see how the parkrun course is, but we have not had it too wet this week.
Run free and stay well.
