How is it November already? Time is precious and we need to make the most of it.

Power Up

I was reserving some funds for #HPUD. I would not want to break my run of badges from hivebuzz@hivebuzz.

Bees

These funds have come from various Hive sources with Splinterlands being the main one. I am renting out my cards there to get a nice little income. I also earn SPS, but that is getting staked for now. I am investigating the pools over there as I can earn from things like the vouchers I earn. That is still a tiny amount for now, but the returns are pretty good.

I just cannot be putting fiat funds into Hive right now, but I want to keep on powering up. I know i could make more from other options such as HBD savings, but I can help others through curation. I just got to over 84k HP and hope to keep adding around 1000 each month. That could take me to 100k by the end of next year. $HIVE just went up a little today, so that stake is gaining value.

I love that there are so many ways to earn from Hive. I am into the blogging and social side, but others prefer games or just pure investment. I have friends on here who are not that worried about the rewards, but for some it is a real bonus that can help them get by. I will take some out at some point when I need it, but I want to grow my stake a lot more first.

I did take some $BAT out that I earned from using the Brave browser. It is not a huge amount, but it adds up through the year and all I do is open a few ads. Apart from that it is a solid browser that reduces the other ads I might be seeing.

I am increasingly jaded with other platforms. Facebook fills my feed with ads and irrelevant posts. I mainly use it to stay in touch with a few people are rarely post there. I do not think Elon Musk is going to make Twitter better. There are a lot of interesting people on there, but it keeps showing me tweets I have no interest in because someone I follow liked them or just because they follow the author. I like that on Hive I have such a clean feed that I am in control of.

I do appreciate that Hive is not a total replacement for those platforms. We cannot restrict who sees a post and it is not ideal for short form content as it stands. For the latter there are improvements with things like dbuzz@dbuzz and Leofinance Threads. For public content we have the old chicken/egg issue of lacking the premium content to attract the masses and being too small an audience to bring in top creators. I keep saying that it just needs a few people with a decent following to make the leap over to Hive and bring their audience with them. Here the fans can earn too.

I always tell people to make Hive fun for themselves. That is what I have done and it is why I am still around. Meeting people at events like Hivefest fills me with enthusiasm. You may not be making much now, but what are you doing to make Hive better? We can all do something even if it is just introducing one more friend to use it.

Hive five!
