Apparently it's Black Cat Appreciation Day. Well, we certainly appreciate our cat Deedee, who is totally black. She was adopted from a shelter when she was about two and is still with us 16 years later. She's not so active now, but is capable of waking us up in the early morning when she wants food or to go out.
She's actually the same age as my daughter, who will miss her when she starts university (daughter, not cat).
