Description from Strava:
Yesterday I was a tail-walker at parkrun, so I came last, but that is fine. Someone needs to check for stragglers and collect the cones etc from around the course. It was a lovely morning for a walk.

Today I had a bit of a lie-in and then headed out again. It is really mild, but we may be due for another cold spell. I had been wanting to check out the building work that is happening in the fields behind the houses across the road. I could get a view of that from the railway footbridge and there is a lot going on. I have been able to see the big drilling rig that is used for the piling, but there will be a lot of houses in there. This will join up with some other recent developments and there will be a new road parallel to the main one through the village. That may help with the traffic issues.

I carried on over the fields where I have not been for ages. There were a few dog walkers over there. I headed north towards the parkrun course and did a lap of that. Then I went out towards Stotfold, but cut off into Etonbury Woods and found my way to the new bridge. I had seen some people cutting across from the new road towards our road. The mud was not too bad there today, but eventually that will be covered in new housing too. I would hope that there will be a footpath through that as it gives a shorter route to us.

I ended up with a little extension to take it over 10km. I found it hard work today, but then I walked a lot yesterday. I needed some walking breaks today. It was nice to go to some places I had not visited in a while. I went with my trail shoes and I think it was worth it as it could have been slippery in places, but it was not the really messy sort of mud.

There is more work to do in the garden today, but we are seeing progress.

Run free and enjoy the sunshine.
