Description from Strava:
It is over two months since I did a parkrun as I have been getting over a back injury. I might have done one earlier, but they were desperate for volunteers. I am almost at fifty times doing that.

Yesterday a big storm hit the UK. Winds were about 50mph here, but much worse in Scotland and Ireland where a lot of damage was done and at least one person died. I have not seen much in the way of effects here, but one of our gates broke. The parkrun course was all clear with no fallen trees.

It was slightly frost when I set off, but the sun was shining. That was a little annoying as it is low and so can dazzle you when you are trying to see where the muddy patches are. It was quite muddy and generally slippery on the course, but I did not fall.

I was not expecting a quick time and it was one of my slowest in a while. I need to recover and build up my fitness again. I did what I could today.

It was nice in the sun as I walked home. I wanted to get a paper, but the first shop did not have that one. Luckily the other one did, so I had something to read with my coffee.

I hope to improve on this time over the year, but will be volunteering too.

Run free and stay well.
