Description from Strava:
As well as my parkrun yesterday I did some gardening, so I was feeling a bit worn out. I still went for a run today. The weather was looking okay, but rain is predicted this week.

I did a clockwise loop around the villages today for a change so I get a different view. It was feeling like hard work, but I tried to keep going. I did have a couple of walks when I just needed a break. I struck out across the fields towards Astwick. The path is in danger of getting overgrown with some nettles reach out to try and get me. Everything has been growing well lately.

I did the long loop around Stotfold, but the road towards the mill was shut. I did look to see if I could walk around the works, but it did not look possible, so I took the diversion down an alley and past the old church.

As I headed up the hill towards Fairfield I was really feeling it, but I took it easy and coming back down was a little easier.

I had to make a stop in Arlesey as we are caring for some chickens this week. There are six of them and there were five eggs in the coop. They did make a break out of their run, but I tempted them back in with some corn. I may be eating more eggs this week.

From there it was a short jog home, but I struggled to get up any speed. I had the eggs in a bag to look out for.

I have a band rehearsal this afternoon. Whilst catching one of my chickens today I fell on my thumb which is now quite sore. I shall have to see how that feels for drumming. We still have a while until our next gig, so it should heal by then.

Run free!
