Man this is clear cut gaslighting. Easy does it.
I'm not sure why this math is important, but there's no way I'd ever have earned 20K+ in HP ever with the votes I've gotten. I know what I've cashed out and it's not much. This is fairly irrelevant and not apples to apples, but congrats on your success.
Anyway, the crux here is that if you'd simply said "I unfollowed, because I use my feed for voting. Since I do not feel like voting your stuff and never noticed any reblogs I decided to unfollow." I wouldn't have blinked and thanked you for the feedback. Why didn't you?
However, I got analyzed and judged, where you said
"You only kept 2k HP in your account and I did not check your voting patterns in detail, but I think I got a good enough picture of what your goals are on Hive and I simply do not want to support that any longer. ...The whole concept of sharing and paying forward and stuff does not seem to resonate with you..."
You caused my secondary reaction and are faulting me for being rightfully prodded to explain myself since I took it personally. I didn't react this way to your simple unfollow. Let's not bend things here to fit. Going one step further to say that I'm the one that's misjudged and lost my 'cool dude' designation. C'mon man. We should be far above that level. You put me down and are gaslighting instead of taking any credit. Defending myself wasn't the goal. There's a difference between being baffled and insulted to seek answers, versus indignant. Please stop framing this to fit a narrative that's not true. Explaining myself was the priority to learn, but you seem to want to be contentious instead.
We'll leave it as it is since I see that discussion won't be constructive in this style. Thanks for taking the time to explain your view more and take care.
