I myself never bought any hive and I now have ~60k. (and could have had 100k, if I didn't use some)
We are the same reputation (70), which means we got the same votes in total.
I made some lucky trades, but 10k seems reasonable, that's why I brought this number up.

I have never gotten any reaction like this before, for a simple unfollow.
You did not ask me why I unfollowed to actually find out the reason (and perhaps adjust like you claimed above), but to find a way to be indignant about it and defend yourself.
