Close your mind to judging. Open your heart to understanding.
Labels are nothing more than social constructs made to divide us rather than unite us. The more we attach ourselves to them, the more we block our consciousness from expanding itself. We don’t want to know who other people are - we want to know what kind of label they wear. Don’t sit with us if you don’t dress like us. Don’t talk to us if you don’t think like us.
You’re either one of us, or you’re one of them. It’s either you change your beliefs, or you change lunch table. Welcome to society, where all who think, breathe, and feel differently are looked upon as enemies. Instead of offering empathy, we demand conformity.
We hang with people who resemble us, and point fingers to those who are unlike us. Too bad our frame of reference is so biased and narrow, after all, do we really care to know? We take pride in our mentality - thinking that our way, should be everyone’s way to be. It’s either you adhere to the norm, or you refuse to conform.
Choose your camp wisely, as it will determine how your future may turn out to be. But why don’t we just all come together, instead of tearing up each other? Why don’t we focus on our resemblances, all the while honoring and welcoming our differences?
Sexual socialisation paved the way for a type of human conditioning that screams inequality. We behave in ways that are politically correct according to our gender. You identify as a man? Hold up your fucking tears buddy! You identify as a woman? You better have children! And what if we don't suscribe to the traits promoted by our gender? We get shut down, judged, stigmatized, labeled as "outcasts", you name it. Social change and betterment of humanity never came out of adhering to norms that don't make sense, has it?
Stand up for what you believe it, even if you stand alone.
