Finally set up this new toy of mine!
I gave myself a tap on the shoulder because almost 3 and a half years ago, I would have never in a million years thought that one day I'd be here having a hardware wallet to store my btc. I guess that's what makes life so magic right, the mystery of the future! What makes life even more magic is this magic internet money called bitcoin!
My mom's reaction cracked me up when I showed her this morning my pink ledger. She looked at me with raised eyebrows and said "you paid this much for a USB key?"I died on the spot. Love her.
The process was fairly simple and went smoothly, thanks to Ledger's awesome vids. While I trippled checked my recovery words and made sure I was being a cautious fucker about stuff, all bets were off when the time came for me to transfer my btc onto my ledger. What can I say I need my daily dose of risk to remain happy. Playing just a tad bit with fire, enough to feel the heat, but at a safe distance to not get burnt;) You are advised to not try this at home under no circumstances no matter how much of a pro you like to think you are. Do as I tell you, not as I do!
