And you know what I think of mainstream media, don’t you?
Belongs where it came from. To the garbage.

The education system isn’t only flawed, it fucks our minds up real good.
From a young age, we get taught that what matters in life is how good you ace it on your exams. Maybe society wouldn’t be the shit show it is today if students would be taught that what matters the most in life is what’s in their heart – that is – their internal value. We shouldn’t praise them on what they do ; but rather on who they are as humans.

The sad truth is that you can go follow through the typical academic path, graduate with a Ph.D. in whatever-it-is, and still have not a single clue how to be a fundamentally good person. But hey, people will still look at you like you’re a god. You know how it is my friends, appearances can be extremely deceiving.

But that’s exactly what schools teaches us to focus on: appearances. Hence why people look smart on paper, but not so much in real life. Everything is mechanical and that’s the problem: we are human beings, not machines. Schools should be establishments made to make us learn about the human heart. We should be given courses that teach us about our thoughts, our emotions, and how to express them in a healthy way.

This shouldn’t be optional – it has to be mandatory. Too few people choose on their own to learn about these things; yet they are fundamental aspects of the human being. We can’t possibly build a healthier and much improved world if we don’t get to the root cause of the issue.

I’m still blown away by the fact that there aren’t even parenting courses that parents in the becoming should have to take in order to understand the psychology of children and how to raise them in a healthy and loving way. Oh but wait. Learning about the Pythagorean theorem will surely help me to make one of the most important life decisions there is to make in life: choosing a spouse. Fuck me sideways bitches. This is pure bs.

No one teaches us how to deal with adversity. This is a big one. If we want to break the cycle of hurt people who hurt people, maybe it’d be smart if we’d get taught early on how to address the pain that comes into our lives. Most people don’t become assholes just out of pleasure. They’re likely to have been hurt at some point too.

What do we tell young guys to do when they are angry or hurt? "To suck it up and hold it in" . Well that’s exactly how you build a generation of people who end up destroying others. Because they’ve been taught first hand to keep all of their emotions bottled up inside. We’re human beings, remember? Emotions aren't for the weak. Emotions are what makes us human.
