Points I think are worth noting….
I have met people with low self esteem who I wrongly believed had high self esteem.
They compensate in ways that hide this. On the outside they seem confident, always up for a debate, allways cracking jokes, Jumping in without a second thought to help and come across very opinionated. However… these are just coping mechanisms. On the inside they are highly insecure and are forcing themselves onto the world in order to provide themselves with a false sense of security. It often doesnt take long before a person like this demonstrates cracks in the veneer. There are thresholds which can be broken and allow the broken person inside to appear.
