Spring time happens to be one of the best season. That time ofbthebyear, when it neither too cold nor too hot. A perfect time to enjoy the weather. Many people love spring for the freshness and joy it brings to them every day. There is a different kind of environment everywhere. It is the time when we find many flower blossom everywhere. And I find a similar one on my terrace.
This is what I have been referring in the title "Old man in the spring". The white hairy flowers does give an impression of a old man. However, this is not it's true appearance. This old look of the flower remain for a while. It may end very quickly, may be an hour or two. I tried to capture it many a times, but missed it. When I found this old man early in the day, I made sure click them.
The plant is commonly known as Common groundsel. It is again a weed plant that grows in difderent region. It reproduces exclusively by seed and infestations are more common in cool, moist weather. The plant is also known as ground swallower because its nature of rapidly spreading everywhere. Before turning to white hairs, it does have a nice daisy looks.
This weed is found in disturbed sites along roadsides, in waste areas, cracks in pavement or edges of walls, in cultivated fields and in sunny gardens, lawns and along edges of yards. As it appears on mybterrace from nowhere. Common groundsel produces numerous yellow flowers in terminal clusters. However the experts alwsys advise to eliminate these weeds before they flower.
