There is a popular saying that Buses go where trains and planes cannot. Unlike flying high above the clouds or speeding on restricted train tracks, buses travel through the heart of local towns, winding country lanes. What I like most is their stoppages at various restaurants or motels for regular breaks. Driving for long hours could be tiring for any drivers. While the commuters enjoy the sight seeing, drivers is rhe one who keep their focus for a safe journey for all. He also needs a break to relax. It also allows the commuters to get off the bus and strech their legs and get some refreshment. Exploring the south of India I was more curious to see the kind of restaurants these busses would stop. And to my surprise there are quite a good one on the roads which wont let anybody down.
After travelling in the bus for more than 7hrs, the driver made their stoppages for meals. It was dinner time and he made sure to make a stop at a point where the commuters may get all kind of stuff. The spacious restaurant is one of a kind for all food requirement. It was a welcome break and as soon as the bus stopped every passenger get down to get their choice of items. But I was more interested in knowing more about the place. It was situated right beside the busy highway. The highway is a busy one and a number of vehicles passed by. Out bus stopped at a sideway.
The restaurant is a spacious one and the entire structure named as shree cauvery There is a open space for parking in front. Number of vehicle travelling in that route stopped at the point for their share of meals.
There are 3 different counters set up in front operstional for juices, tea and shakes. They were nicely decorated to make rhe customers try the different itesm. The items were available on prepaid basis. First you get the coupon , make the payment and then get the items of your liking.
There is a big sitting facility available inside the complex. All decked up in yellow that looks quite attractive. There were very few people inside. I had ordered a cum.of Tea and they serve me in their aithentic steel glass tumbler. But being busy with phone I unable to click the photos.
Right outside, there is a air balloon puppet installed to get the customers invited into the restaurants
I like the place, a bit more than the other road side dhabas and restaurant available in northern part. The restroom was nice and cleaned. Such set up is what required for daily long travellor commuters for instant breaks and take rest.
In good faith - Peace!!
