I always wonder how many type of Indian sweets dishes are popular among people living outside India. I mean the people not of Indian origin...

Rasgulla, Gulab Jamun...ummm and what else??

If I am not wrong, I would easily say, India is hub of sweet dishes. There are all kind of sweets available, From simple small balls of Ladoos to designer shape sweets. We have the variet, that could easily woo anyone to ponder on every sweet items.

Today, I like to share about IMARTI. I somehow saw a local vendor preparing it on the road side and the flower shape design pulled to take a taste of it.

This sweet dish is actually made by deep-frying vigna mungo flour batter in a circular flower shape, then soaking in sugar syrup. To add more flavour to it, one can add natural essence like cardamom, or rose flavor or any other of their choice.

I must admit, as it looking so beautiful, it is not easy to make. The flower shape and the look took good amount of practice. Once fried, these get very crispy and after soaking into sugar syrup, it get soft and very sweet.

My nephew just start to ponder on them by the looks and after making the payment, I too took a big bite to take the design into my mouth. It taste so delicious and simply love to have them regular.

Peace
