It was a quite hectic day with overnite train travelling and then waiting at a new place for bus for another short journey to home. Short distance I meant 5 hrs and the waiting period at the place was over 3hrs. We were stuck in a situation, where we unable to do much except a little bit of city tour. We had the tired legs after 3 days stay at puri and enjoying in the beach. And now again we have to wait for few hrs before we reach home.
So we went ahead for a small city tour, which I never been too. This city is the capital of Jharkhand. Very busy , chaotic and dusty. This is my first time visit so, I tried to get best of this city. The first thing I notice was this switch installed at a roadside kiosks.
Now if you are wondering, what is so good about it then, this switch is used multiple times in a day. This is a ciggrete litting electric switch. When it takes a lot for match stick or over usage of cigarette lighter. A kiosks invented this little model, where the cigarette can be lit usingbthe switch. The current flows through the wired extension allowing smokers to lit their cigarette. This is a unique "jugad" I had ever seen.
Before going ahead, let me tell you the expeeince I had in the city. The railway was too chaotic, where people were rushing towards the stairs. While at the same time, the bust depot during the day kept an empty look. No such movement neither any rush. It was a deserred look.
Continjing our city tour, The same kiosks where we had the electric lighter, it was selling paan and being a thristy throat, I decided to have it. paan is a Indian mouth frehner, with many ingredients wrapped in a beetle leaves. It is sweet in taste and very much eaten after the meals. It has multi Utility. While the ingredients helps in removing bad breath the beetle leaves helps.in digesting the food.
We move ahead towards the main city to explore more. There was a kind of busy market places and few empty weekly market. The weekly market is again a deserted place may be by evening we get to see more people. While the main market area is little bustling with people and traffic. Nothing to buy we halted our walk till the road end.
Slowly and slowly we were exhausting ourself. The more we walk the more we are tiring ourself. This result in feeling sleepy. No walk is complete until you have the street "chai" or Indian tea. The most selling beverages on Indian roads. You can have tea at every corner ofnthe roads. Someone seeling tea or set up their little kiosks. How could we resist it, when our body already giving up.
The "kulhad" tea is good in taste. Srved in mud pot, the hot tea is more soothing in taste. After refreshing ourself, we still had few more hours. The waiting times always kills and we were feeling the pinch. Already wandered lot on street, we were looking for safe place and we entered into the big building. We took it as a shopping malls, and inside it was a completely different set up.
The big storey building has multiple office spaces and study centre. We understood the same after watching the different bill board all over the place. From top to bottom, we end up noticing the different brands and offices. Such is the demand of high end rises.
We were expecting some AC hopping site at this building and finding it an office spaces, making us to give up more on our exploration. We moved out and had a plate of "samosa" snack. Some of the street food in India are never to say no and samosa is one of them.
It was the only snack we had since morning as we were desperate to have some home cooked food. We had little fruits too and walk back towards the Bus stand. Better to wait there rather than tiring ourself. The bus ride too going to be a long one. Need to preserve some energy for it.
However, in the mean time, it was a good quick city walk early in the day. As I composing this content, I am already boarded our bus to home. Counting on the left hours while writing up the #wednesdaywalk story for @tattoodjay
