After a long time me and my cousins went for a short trip to nearby market. We went for shivratri shopping. After finding the rush, in the market, we decided to take a small tea break in a sweet shop. But ended up with some additional spicy samosa chaat snacks
As the tea is steaming up, the shop owner is prepairing the dish at the back side. But before I proceed, let me take you on a short tour to the indian sweet shop*.
An Indian sweet shop is one stop shop for all the sweets stuff alongwith some snacks especially the everyone favourite samosa. They have all the chocolates counter. Which mostly contains the Indian common chocolates. While on the other hand they have all the milk sweets which are mouth watering dishes.
In India, we have multiple sweet items that the sweet owners made. They are of differrnt shape and size, however they taste almost same....only sweet. All the sweets were kept inside a glass chamber to protect them from spoilage. Also it allows the customers to choose from the available variety.
While there were many dry sweet item as well dispalyed on top of the counter, which are kept openly. These bundia and balushahi as locally called are always the locals delight. They are not made up of milk so can be kept for a longger time. Adding these to the sweet counter gives a colourful look to the place.
While I was busy clicking the shop picture, and looking at differrnt item, our chef was busy in prepairing our dish. I missed to take the picture, but o ce I get back to tea cou ter I find him chopping g the carrot for garnishing.
At the end my dish comes out to be like dish. A spicy evening treat, and a good company for hot tea. This is made up of *samosa whixh is very popular snack item, and then added up with spicy grams gravy and garnished with onions, carrot, and bhujia.
In the meantime, I returned to take my cup of tea, the snack is almost ready. I am happy to enjoy some quality time with cousins munching some spicy stuff in a winter evening. This is a short story for #marketfriday. Do not expect so stylish and glamorous look of the shop. Rural part only know simple living.
