Hey Splinters!
Looking at the market, I realize that now is a good time to stock up on some cards. I do this all the time as it is, but I've long wished for some monsters that I often rented or saw in my opponent's deck. Since I've been focusing on the Death Splinter lately, I'm going to try to get that splinter up to perfection, at least for the silver league!
A while back, I heard from my co-guildmate that the death shard was a complete bottom in the gold league. That really upset me, actually. But a lot of time has passed since then, and a lot of great cards have come along that can easily disprove my friend). But today we won't be talking about new maps, we'll be talking about maps from old releases. Well since we all don't have a lot of money, these will be reward cards that cost less than $1 per card. I think in the process of writing the post, I'll even buy something from the market. After all, it's so hard to resist when you see prices like this). All in all it should be interesting, fasten your seatbelt. Let's go!
Undead Rexx has been a dream of mine for years. Have you seen what he does in battles with the STAMPEDE rule, when Trample ability is triggered time after time, leaving no chance for your opponent? Oh, it's very beautiful! I couldn't resist, and I wanted to see it again. I suggest you take a look at this video below. 猬囷笍
Yes, the video is a year old and a lot has changed in that time, including 3 rules of battle at a time, which may prevent you from repeating this trick. But 7 cents for a level 1 card is a gift, to me! I already have 1 level 1 card, let's see what I can pick in the market right now!
That's $0.98 for 13 cards and 38 DEC back from monstermarket.io. Sounds good to me to have a level 3 dinosaur in my deck!
My dream came true, I am the lucky owner of Undead Rexx level 3. Remember that he can play when Rise of the Commons battle rules? And if the prices stay at that level, I'll upgrade this dinosaur to level 6. After all, it will only cost me $3 and change.
Vampire is also a long time dream of mine. He's good starting at level 3 - 4, when his attack speed becomes 4 - 5. It's also good to protect him by putting some monsters with 1 life in front of him, so he definitely won't die in round 1. Then he does a great job from afar and even when he gets to first position. While everyone dies, he accumulates life!
Right now the price of this monster is 29 cents for a level 1 card, well isn't that a gift to diversify your deck? I will definitely be buying one soon. Especially since I'll be needing a lot of cards after the lands launch...
The main reason I like Grim Reaper is the attack 3 already at first level and the Affliction ability. If you're betting the whole battle on archers, this deadly-looking lady fits that strategy perfectly. But remember, it's better to surprise your opponent with your deck every time than to put up the same every battle.
All this happiness is currently only 21 cents per level one card. Sounds good to me! Since I already have a level 1 Grim Reaper, I'll debug the purchase when I have the money for 13 grand. That way I'll get level 3 and a long-range attack power of 4!
We don't have many cards for 3 mana. Especially attack cards with 5 life at first level. Dark Ferryman is one of them, which is why it's on my list today. He's great to cram into any formation, while covering Sneaks or other important monsters.
You can currently buy this card for 30 cents at level 1. Sounds good to me. Especially if you upgrade it to level 3 when the attack becomes 2 units. I will definitely be doing this soon!
That would actually be all for today, but I want to show another card that is underpriced at the moment!
The main advantage of Phantasm is flight at first level and Return Fire at 5th level. And the cost of the first level card is now 7 cents. It's a real gift that I'm going to take advantage of in the near future!
As you can see, with the arrival of new cards, some cards can be bought right now at low prices. The good news is that many of them are fairly underpriced and can surprise any level opponent.
Many have focused on Modern mode, which I think keeps the prices of some cards even higher than they deserve. I don't stop playing Wild mode, which is much more interesting. I really like that we have a lot of cards now to have choice in purchases and variety in battles.
It's also become apparent that Splinterlands has become a game that's here for the long haul. Buying assets long term isn't as scary as it is with one-day games. Once I realized that, I just started buying those cards that I like or undervalue in my opinion. At any point, you can get out relatively painlessly, but I'm not going to do that! Definitely not anytime soon.
The sooner we will be on Mars, bypassing the moon...
That's all for today. Thanks for reading!
